ECOPLEN SRL is the first company in the world able to produce jerry cans and bottles employing over 70% of “PLASTIC FROM POST-CONSUMER WASTE”.
This is possible thanks to the use of a new formula based on years of research ensuring the manufacturing of high quality plastic articles that respect nature and enviroment.
Our products are certified by IPPR through the prestigious “PLASTICA SECONDA VITA” mark recognition.
SUSTAINABILITY and RECOVERY are our MISSION
Our jerry cans and bottles, unique in the world for ECO-SUSTAINABILITY, through a further step of RECOVERY become wonderful furnishing objects.
The new line of furnishings “JerryEcoLight” is created: floor lamps, chandeliers, wall lamps and table lamps thanks to which
WASTE COMES BACK TO LIGHT
TO ENLIGHTEN A CLEANER WORLD
This magic happens in MATERA -UNESCO Heritage Site and 2019 European Capital of Culture- where
THE RECOVERY IS OUR HISTORY
Matera is one of the most ancient cities in the world; its whole territory treasures the visible signs of human settlements uninterruptedly from the Old Stone Age until today.
The unique Sassi’s architecture tells about man’s ability to adapt himself to the surrounding environment and natural landscape, using masterfully simple features like the stable temperature of the excavated areas (caves), the limestone itself for the construction of “out of ground” housing and the use of the slopes for the “water control and meteorological phenomena”.
It is precisely the phenomenon of WATER COLLECTION at the heart of the motivations leading UNESCO in 1993 to declare Matera “WORLD HERITAGE”, by introducing for the first time the concept of CULTIVATED LANDSCAPE.
In this context where our history has taught us the wise art of RECOVERY recognized as WORLD HERITAGE, we place our “cultural project”: the RECOVERY of plastic waste.
We move away from landfill 6,000 tons of plastic waste per year, reducing by 1,06 ton CO2 emissions for each ton of recycled polymer, to produce plastic products over all without using highly polluting substances such as oil.
From this virtuous improvement process jerry cans and bottles are born and reused again for the production of lamps:
